Car Pictures From Friends

This little gem was parked there on this day. It's a Polaris Slingshot. That's all I know of the make and model. I do not know what year it is, probably a 2022 or '23. It's an open two seater roadster body style. Looks like an automatic transmission as it has three buttons - park, drive and reverse. It appears that the single rear wheel is the steering. I didn't get a chance to see the engine but it looks fast. Later in the day I passed it on the road. It looks just as good moving as it does parked.

1965/'66 Chevy Corvair Convertible at the DMV ~

NOTE: Back in the late 1970s, I owned a 1965 Mustang. It was copper colored and had a rust-red interior. On the back seat was the impressions of horses but were installed upside-down. I thought that someone at the factory had simply screwed up and could not understand why they hadn't caught it when the car was released for sale. Several years after I sold the car, I found out that the Mustang's designer had upholstered 25 or 50 cars with the back seat horses upside-down as it was his last year before retirement. These cars are worth at fortune today. At least, that is what I was told.

Dukes of Hazzard General Lee Dodge Charger ~

On September 18, 2019 our son brought over a friend of his about 9:00 at night. The friend is the proud owner of a General Lee Dodge Changer. This car is a little different from most General Lees in the respect that this on has the autographs of many of the actors and crew from the original TV series, The Dukes of Hazard.

Autographs appear on the inside of the truck lid, on the dash board and even on the engine. This car has many options and is complete down to the original rims that were used on the TV car.

My wife took the pictures in the dark but sadly, she did not get a picture of the top with the Confederate flag. But here are the pictures that she did get.

I'm enjoying your websites for old vehicles, my passion since I was ten years old. I'm now 66 and an Army Veteran, 1965-'68, 1st Signal Brigade, DCA-SAM, Korat, Thailand, Vietnam War. My current vehicles are unrestored early 1930 Model A Tudor, early 1929 Chevy 1-ton, 1939 Chevy logtruck, '39 Chevy dumptruck, '39 Chevy parts truck, '30 Model A chassis for speedster, '28 Chevy chassis for speedster. Also have a nice '58 Pontiac Chieftain 2dr, factory Tri-Power, mild custom. Currently needs some work. And a 1982 Peterbilt cabover twinscrew with Cat engine. It needs alot of TLC. Plenty of tinkering to do around here.

Mr. Ed,

My wife and I have always thought of Hearses as beautiful works of craftsmanship. At a recent car show in Everette, WA, there were a couple present. One was the classic '66 Cadillac. The other was a 1929 Ford Model A version which we had never seen before. It was actually the first car that caught my wife's eye as we approached the car show from the parking lot.My father in law is a bit of a Ford collector himself with a '31 A Roadster, '31 Sedan, '40 Mercury Coupe, and a '56 T-Bird. So we keep our eyes peeled for things he might like. The plaque on the Hearse indicated that it was purchased as a truck to be restored a few years ago. The current owner decided to make it into a period Hearse. The frame was extended and the 'coach' section is still in progress. The car is using the classic 8-column design with the hand carved wooden curtain panels. This car really struck us as fascinating, as we had not seen a 'horseless' hearse this old before.In doing some research online I came upon your site. There are some truly gorgeous vehicles featured in your collection of photos. I have attached the 2 photos I took of the 'A.' Unfortunately it was very wet at this event, so the pics are not the best. I hope you enjoy them, and may find them worthy of posting on your site.
